LVRC Track Championships - Newport Velodrome
Back on the 2nd November myself and Allan Hopkins (acting soigneur for the day) made the trip down to the Newport Velodrome for the LVRC (League of Veteran Racing Cyclists) National Track Championships.
The day started well when I realised I had forgotten my racing license (which involved a 40 min detour that we did not have time for !) and proved challenging thereafter.
Having picked up Allan, we then proceeded to set the only record of the day (by me anyway) racing from Reigate to Newport in exactly 2 hours (including a fuel stop).
Faster Group Ride
All welcome for a faster road ride "east of the A217".
Gavin is the leader this week for 50-60 miles around the Bletchingley/Horne area at approx 17-20 mph.
Meet at 9 am at the Angel in Woodhatch.

Content Free-for-All !
Not really.
Any club member can now add a calendar event, news article, image.
The proviso is that items will sit in a 'awaiting approval' area until they are approved by a 'moderator'.
Go to the 'Members' tab and you will see the menu options to add content.
Please coordinate amongst yourselves who is going to write a report for a ride.
Break in Service
The website has been showing an error message for the past 24 hours.
It was deliberate and the only way I could describe to the hosting provider a problem I had found.
They've fixed it now, so it's the broad uplands from here on in.
