All club members are now able to upload pictures to the website.

Under the 'Members' tab you should see a 'Add Image' option.

Images will sit in a 'awaiting approval' area, until they are approved by a moderator (currently either myself or Richard Sterry).

Maximum upload file size is 300kB.

members only website?

there has been verbal discussion recently for changes to the website to enlarge the 'members only' section and have the public section contain much less detail. The public section to have broad news, taster type content but full ride reports and most pictures only available to members only. This would give some exclusivity to the members and a gives reason for being a member and some confidentiality within the club when names are mentioned in reports. I would like to hear other members views on this and also on the technical feasibility (webmaster?)

Audax

Audax Events

Audax events are longer rides over fixed routes with control points, often at cafes where you can stop for refreshment. The routes, in the main, stick to quiet roads and country lanes. They are very similar to a Sunday Club run in pace and spirit and they are an excellent way of exploring the countryside away from home.

Other people also use the bridleways and we all want to enjoy ourselves without upsetting each other. There is a definite pecking order when on bridleways and cyclists are last.

Will I be able to keep up?

There is always a Back Marker to prevent riders being left behind. If the ride is beyond your ability, you may not be the only one and someone will accompany you on an alternative route. After a few rides, you’ll soon find your fitness levels improves. As a general rule, if you are able to cycle up Wray Lane to Reigate Hill without being too exhausted, then you’ll be fine for the ride. If Wray Lane is too much of a challenge, you may want to ride a bit more on your own or look out for our Intermediate rides.
