Starting from the Angel at 9.00 we take a scenic route to arrive at Hever at about 11.00 where we will partake of hot mince pies and mulled wine. Then feeling suitably warm and merry we return towards Redhill to be entertained with hot eats and drinks by Nick Curran. This annual event is very popular as it combines a sociable scenic ride with hospitatity provided by members and friends. We usually return home by about 15.00 in a very good mood.

Rain Man !

A big thank you to Trevor Chilman for dragging me around the Lewes Wanderers Grand Prix Des Gentlemen time trial course in an excellent time of 45-56.

Trevor was the "young gun" to my "old man" in this enjoyable format and our time over the 18 mile sporting course was good enough for 7th place overall from the 92 entrants.

The event was held in the most appalling conditions with torrential rain for the entire day, with a gusty gale force wind trying to knock you off for good measure. (However, at least the conditions were the same for everyone which is not always the case)
