The annual 'season ending' trip to France was on, off, back on, back off a few times this year but is now definitely going ahead from 28th to 30th September based in the town of Etaples (around 40 minutes drive south of Calais) so that we can ride both south and inland and explore new areas.
Two attendees have had to withdraw for work and personal reasons so we have two spaces free if anyone is interested. Please let Adrian know ASAP if you might be at email adewebb@gmail.com ... the standard is high G3 to G5 with most rides likely to average somewhere from 15mph to 16mph.
You are welcome to share a room at a cost of £80 per head for the two nights or to have the room singly at a cost of £120.
The plan is to travel via Eurotunnel (cost around £150 return but if shared with two or three people obviously the cost per head drops way down) on Friday afternoon.
We suspect that the dinners each night will cost £20-£30 per head depending on alcohol consumption!
It should be a really fun trip with a 90 mile ride planned for Saturday and a 66 mile for Sunday in lovely countryside. A great way to end the season!
