We had a 16 year old potential Laura Trott going really well with us until Charles decided to show off and turned up his after-burners on Blanks Lane. Despite Geoff’s best efforts Emily couldn’t be persuaded to continue.

16 years were also significant to Simon and Lisa (recent anniversary) and their mini domestic when Lisa bent her thumb and Simon snickered (a la Muttley) was proof that their relationship is still as fresh as on day 1.

Rob was claiming KOM until we bumped into Contador Costello and Sue at Tulley’s. Brian had obviously misheard, thinking that they were going sailing rather than cycling, and was sporting some natty deck shoes.
