So sooner has Adrian mentioned in his latest Update the ESCA reliability trial - an event described as "not for someone who follows their handlebar mounted satellite navigation system around a way-marked route on the day of the event" - than I receive a notification on another Garmin-free event on the same day (Sunday November 6th).

The information I have so far is:

The Norwood Paragon and Century Road Club have for many years promoted a Map
Reading Competition and this year we have decided  to widen the range of
clubs invited to take part hence this email.  The event will take place
somewhere to the south of the A25 (but not too far) on the 6th November.
First man/woman will start at 10.00am with 90 minutes to visit as many of the
controls as possible in this time.  There is no entry fee and maps will be
provided.  If any of your members are interest will they please contact me at
the email below or send a note to me at 19 Wolverton Gardens, Horley RH6 7LZ.

If anyone is interested email Keith and cc me on rwg1@hotmail.co.uk and maybe we can co-ordinate a team entry.
