A late-year ride across the rolling landscape east of Cambridge. A straightforward route through lovely, historic towns and villages with big-skies terrain in between. Village hall start and finish.

Starting at Girton 2 miles NW of Cambridge, the route heads due east for 60 miles to the historic Suffolk castle and market town of Framlingham, passing through Bury St Edmunds on the way. The route follows a mix of lanes and quiet B-roads, with the occasional very quiet A-road. Perfect for autumn, whatever the weather. The return is lanier and heads to the Maglia Rosso café in Hawstead and return to Cambridge via the 3.5 mile Six-Mile-Bottom descent. This is a great route for group-riding making it a very sociable event, as well as an opportunity to thoroughly road-check your winter bike. There will be cake at the finish. Full details and gps track available.

Transport from Redhill in planning. Possible city-break overnight option.
