REDHILL CC COMMITTEE MEETING.  7.30 at the Redhill and Reigate GC Tuesday 1st March 2016

2. Approve and sign minutes of Committee Meeting of 19th January 2016

3. Trophy allocation.
To be completed

 

4. Awards Dinner/ events budgeting
Numbers approaching 60 with final arrangements made with the Kingswood Golf Club. The cost 
per person is £25-00, the actual cost to the club being £36-95 this to include room hire.
Colin Morgan has confirmed Steve Behr and Robert Warner will be guest speakers at a cost of £500 total.

 

5. Caps update
The design has been completed and will be sent to committee members for approval soon.

 

6. Weekend rides. Will Henton
Will is leading an early bird ride on Sunday's.This ride will be on the website and will supplement Geoff Clifton's ride.

 

7. Chairman’s report
Some concern is voiced over the number of club racers moving to Maison Du Velo, but as they will be receiving kit and finacial assistance this is understandable.It is understood Tim Sales will be setting up training sessions at Dunsfold at a cost of £5-00 to encourage more members into racing.

8.Gensec's report. Reigate and Banstead Sports Festival
The booking form has been returned to the Sports Council the club will take an ad in the programme and lay on a display. The date is May 1st.
Renewals for 2016 have been brisk, the normal number of around 60 have not renewed.

 

 

9.Treasurer's report.
Funds still healthy at C £14,000 although the awards evening will take a bit of a hit at £1,400 The question of the 'fairness' of club cash being used to subsidise such events was raised, however the opportunity is there for all to take part. 

10.Press and publicity report

11.Road Event Secretary’s report
Rick has already kick started planning for Denbies with a suggestion the prizes should be upped to make it more attractive.

 

12.MTB  Secretary’s Report
Numbers on rides average for the time of year, Colin would like to be able to offer an MTB shirt with round necks and zero pockets, he thinks Willdo may be able to supply.
In response to a question from Adrian we were told there were no issues with other users of bridleways etc.

 

13.Mtb Events report
Gwyn's South Wales trip went well, 11 were in the group, a new option was hiring a local guide who took them on a 30 mile ride.

14.Racing secretary’s report

15.Time Trial Secretary’s report
In view of the increasingly difficult conditions on the Horsham circuit this has now been abandoned and this year the club will stick to the shorter nine mile circuit at Horne.
Because of the need for extra marshalls and the right turn at Bones Lane it is felt this is the better option.
The possibility of extending the none mile to ten by starting and finishing at different points is to be looked into.
