Ride 100 RCC team slots

During February, it is likely that Ride 100 will open up some team places to UK Cycling Clubs. As previously, RCC will bid for as many team slots as we can but will, like the main ballot, likely get between 2 and 6 teams of four. These are then allocated as x all-male teams of four, y all-female teams of four and z mixed teams (2 of each). The entry rules are identical to everyone else... same cost per person etc; each person registers individually but using special links sent out later.

The process this year will simply involve RCC riders putting in prospective teams of 4 RCC riders, in one of the three x,y,z formats above. We will in effect then have three 'hats' and, when we receive our allocation, will pull names out of each hat according to what we get.

It is essential that the teams including 4 people all committed to train and ride together and be there on the day... hence opting for the team rather than individual approach this year.

Last year we got 4 teams out of enough riders for 8 teams... so a 50% chance basically.

If you have a prospective team already, email me (Adrian) at chairman@redhillcc.co.uk with the four names for the team.

Hope this is clear.

Watch this space and the weekly updates but it will be March/April before we know our allocation of team slots.
