About a couple of years ago, Jill, Stuart, Rob S and I volunteered to be guinea pigs in a study of "Master Cyclists" (don't laugh please - the entrance criteria were not too taxing).  The study was about the effect of regular hard exercise (in this case cycling) on the ageing process of non-elite "seniors".

Anyway, the report of the study has just been published in the Journal of Physiology, to great acclaim. It's been reported in several dailies and on Sky News and will be featured in a science programme on the Beeb.

Here's a link to the Telegraph's report:>

Summary - if you want to live a long and healthy life, keeeep cycling. Well we all knew that, but now it's been proven scientifically.

If you are interested, of a scientific leaning and/or have nothing to do one evening, I'll email a copy to you. Let me know.
