I've had a problem with my rear wheel whereby the gears jump and clatter. C&N have advised me that there's excessive play in the free-hub causing the problem. However, they reckon getting a replacement from Oval Concepts will be difficult and slow. So, assuming I fail to make a warranty claim (the bike is ~14 months old) I guess I'll be looking for a new wheel.
From the previous discussion on wheels about 4 years ago it sounds like this would be an ideal time to consider an upgrade. Can anyone recommend a good set of wheels for all round road use (I'm about a G3/G4 level of rider, who considers a ride without some form of hill to be cheating :-) ). I'm particularly keen that replacement components be easily available in the UK. The current wheels (Oval Concepts 327 which came with my Fuji Gran Fondo 2.1) are around the 1900g mark I believe, so I guess there's scope for improvement weight-wise.
