Off to Paris next week and the annual worry about protecting my frame for the lorry loaded journey back (where it will be packed like sheep with 30+ other bikes) set in.
Started Googling and found a very interesting tip about cutting up old MTB inner tubes and then wrapping them round the top tube, down tube, seatpost etc and finishing with insulating tape or cable ties. Excellent scratch protection at almost zero cost.
Anybody else got any other great tips and tricks for scratch-free transport when a bike box isn't an option?
