6. Chairman’s report
Congratulation are extended by the Committee to Ryan Visser on gaining his Cat 1 racing license, the first rider for 40 years to have done so. The committee would like to mark the occasion in some way, it was suggested we get Stuart Foster along ( the last Cat 1 in the club) to present to Ryan at the AGM
In the absence of Richard, some discussion took place as to using some of the club’s spare cash to provide mitts or socks to all club members: Lynne offered to look into this.
Adrian has bought a special one day insurance for the Denbies Hill climb. It is hoped to attract plenty of competitors with the promise of cash prizes for all categories.
The committee wishes to extend best wishes to Richard Barnes of Finches for a rapid recovery from his illness.
Geoff Clifton had brought some old trophies along with suggestions for new uses.
7. Gensec's report
A steady stream of new applicants continues to arrive in Frank's inbox, rather than providing 'newby' rides people have been sent on G1 or G2 rides for assesment, this has worked well.
8. Treasurer's report.
Richard has submitted a spreadsheet, the club had c £10,500 in the account in August.
9. Press and publicity report
Mike managed to get good coverage on Michelle Arthurs achievement on the TT front and will aim to do so for Ryan’s success.

12. Racing secretary’s report
August 11 RCC race went fine, some complaints to the police on traffic being stopped which I referred to BC.
Next RCC race is this Sat at Cyclopark, Cycling Nuts, organised by John Leitch. Several of us are assisting.
Good progress with racers. Many items already reported by Adrian in his weekly news. Ryan secured his Cat 1, Stuart and ? Secured their Cat 3's.
Radios and roof car illuminated signs obtained (stored by Phil). The additional signage is with John Eg.
Race reports - some coming through for the website. Ryan's most recent one is club content only as the BC racing rules were not fully observed by all riders in securing the win.
Castelli order was delivered but was not correct, they translated the order for the jerseys incorrectly. Revised order has been placed. Skin suit order is placed. Women's order is in the UK.
BC might be introducing an Accredited Marshal scheme in Surrey in the future. Candidates have to do training, commit to several events, and show traffic a cycling lolly pop, which with the traffic sign at the top, can legally stop traffic.
No keen racing secretary for 2014 come forward yet.
13. Time Trial Secretary’s report
Geoff told us that out of 12 contestants only 4 Redhill riders took part in the new hill climb with Maurice Brennan taking first with a time of 4.06 . Numbers were swelled by a number of entrants from Imperial College London travelling down to take part.
