I was asked by a new cyclist who I rode with for a while in Scotland last week what is the best way to keep body and soul together if you puncture while descending at speed. I can thankfully say this has never happened to me (touch wood, Hail Marys, spin round touch nose etc etc) but it is one of the things I worry about. So what is the right technique for a safe outcome? And has it ever happened to you?
