1.  Apologies were received from Lynne Mulholland-Man Radu-David Wilsher

2.  Approve and sign minutes of Committee Meeting of 4th March 2013.  Done

3.  Summer BBQ  Date.   Was set for 13th July, Frank to book venue (done)

4.  London Womens Cycle Racing League

Having received a request from Michelle Arthurs to affiliate to the LWCRL the committee  agreed this could be a good thing for the womens racing section. ( This has been done)

5.  Calais. Mike Ormerod was concerned that if numbers do not reach the expectations he could lose some of the deposits. The committee agreed to underwrite any losses

6.  Ride etiquette. Of great concern to some leaders and club members  has been the lack of road sense displayed by some riders, Adrian will prepare a special article for the next update pointing out how riders should behave on the road, he added that members should  remember that when wearing the RCC kit they are ambassadors of the club, so no jumping lights, blocking junctions or riding two or three abreast on narrow lanes will be tolerated.

7.  Festival of sport May 5th. Unless volunteers can be found to man the Gazebo it was felt the club would not participate this year, however Frank will make an appeal for people to come along, it was noted that the Raiders will have a presence.

8.  Website - update by Ade, not optimised for windows explorer 10 when trying to add text         to events, calendar entries etc. Mat raised the issue of adding more pics  to the featured story page

9.  Club kit redesign and other issues arising.

Some criticism of the commitee has been expressed over the slow delivery of new kit, especially for the racers, they complained that they received zero support from the committee,  Sean McCauliffe had redesigned the top and provided a new design for the shorts, that found it’s way onto facebook, however it was not appreciated at the time that the new design was for shorts only and they are not subject to approval by British Cycling.

Phil Jemmison was able to answer these criticisms with a detailed schedule of the meetings, emails and discussions he has had with C&N and  Castelli over the past months, it was felt he had been treated unfairly by certain members of the club and the committee wholeheartedly supports him in his secretarial role. It also needs to be said that the RCC is not exclusively a racing club, in fact the racing section forms quite a small part of a club that is dedicated to promoting all aspects of cycling, including leisure ,touring , audax, mtb and super fit triathletes.

A suggestion was made by Phil Jemmison that if riders were to marshall in a number of events to be decided they can qualify for free kit, a set amount of cash could be set aside for this.

10.  Chairman’s report.

Adrian had little to add, apart from thanking the committee for it's continueing support.

11.  Gensec's report

Club numbers now stand at about 380,  sixty people have not renewed this year, which is pretty much  as usual.

12. Treasurer's report.

Full accounts were supplied by Richard, the club has aound £10.400 surplus and ways will be found to use this in a constructive manner. Richard was thanked for his prompt response  to queries by committee on financial matters.

13.  Press and publicity report

Mike has not had much information recently, so all quiet on the publicity front at present.

14. Road Event Secretary’s report

Steve told us the club is entering a couple of teams in the London ride 100, the club is looking at ways of co-ordinating collection of riders and gear after the event.

15.  MTB  Secretary’s Report

Wales is looking good, with full bookings, Phil Christopher is to be added to the leaders list. Gareth has about £250 in the kitty from previous events  (lost deposits etc)it was agreed he can keep this for future use.

16.  Racing secretary’s report

Phil told us we have a good pool of cat 4s, Tuesday training evenings are now under way, the 2nd May Surrey League race is ready to go as is the 29th June.

17. Time Trial Secretary’s report

Time trials will start on the 1st May, some doubt has been expressed as to whether the usual  Horsham course will  be available owing to a new set of traffic lights at one of the roundabouts. There is an alternative route but this has to be checked with the police.

THe 25th June will see a RCC versus Addiscombe 11 mile TT on the Bletchingly course.
