Winter sunshine for the cross-country mountain bikers

A glorious day for one of Fran's new routes - a wonderful loop from Gomshall towards Winterfold, then Blackheath, Chilworth and a back route up to St Martha's Hill (spot the church on the hill in photo).  

You may think that after the climb to St Martha's it's a pretty straightforward ride to Newlands and a bacon butty but no, off we went on a lovely meandering downhill single track, then across fields towards Albury where we then headed up the rutted gravel track to a long awaited cup of tea.

Home was a little more straightforward along the top until the final descent. A great ride which took us over different terrain, visiting section of trail we haven't done in years joined together by plenty of new ones.
