Having cancelled our ride the previous week due to rain, we decided to ride that route to the Village Cafe at Walton-on-the-Hill on Saturday 6 November. G4 decided the same. It’s an excellent cafe and the inside filled up fast after we arrived, so there was only outside seating for Mossie’s group.
It was a hilly route, around Stroud Green via Lodge Bottom Road to Headley, Walton-on-the-Hill, down to Mugswell, up to Chipstead, over Farthing Down to Chalden, then back via Nutfield. A great ride thanks to the mild weather, sunshine and the good company.
