On Friday 7th October ten Redhill CC MBR’s set off for an organized trip to Afan forest mountain trail area in South Wales for what turned out to be a great weekend.
We all finally arrived at the B&B I had arranged on Friday night and after a beer or two headed for bed in ready for Saturday’s ride of a 23 mile trail called “Skyline”. The forecast for the day was rain and upon rising I looked out the window at the black sky and thought hope the rain holds off. (Wishful thinking)
The weather Gods knew this and set up a really fantastic morning for those of us who responded to Graham’s announcement of a Mince Pie run starting, as usual at the Angel in Woodhatch – the idea being that we complete at Keith and Angela’s for a slap-up tea and cakes. A bright and clear morning without a cloud in the sky – cold until we got moving but then great.
