Sixteen riders turned out for the ride to Bockets Farm led by Sue and Barrie, two new riders Andy and Luke joined us for the first time.

Sue,looking slim and fit in her new cycling outfit (Dorothy Perkins at Finches’ £34-99) set off at a cracking pace downhill to Gatton Bottom across the road and up the hill under the motorway to Crossways Farm,from there we cycled to Banstead Heath via Mugswell (some time ago a wit painted out the mug part of the sign so it said swell)

An earlier start than normal at Reigate Hill and for a change, instead of cycling, we set off in our cars to a new location. Destination, Swinley Forest near Bracknell.

An excellent turnout of 20 arrived at the Crown Estate of Swinley Forest where we paid our £1.50 for a permit to ride in the woods.
