Wanted…you and your bike……if you are
CYCLING NUTS
….then please come to our first session
When is it? The first session is Sunday October 26
Venue: Gatton Park
Ages: 7-11 years 12noon to 1pm
12 – 16 years 1.15pm to 2.30pm
What you need: a bike –any bike – but in working order
a helmet
warm clothing
mitts (preferably) to protect your hands
a parental consent form
Will there be a proper coach? Yes
What qualifications does he have? He is a British Cycling Level 2 Club Coach
Because there are lots of youngsters in the schools in this area who want to improve their skills on a bike….but without going out onto the busy roads.
So…. by meeting and riding in a space that is free from traffic, it offers the chance to work on bike handling skills such as:
weaving through cones
riding with one hand
picking up a drink bottle
riding close together in groups
Experience from other similar clubs tells us that riders usually want to end the sessions with a race, in one shape of form.
If you are a parent bringing your youngster, you can sign the parental consent form on the day….while if you are bringing a carful, like your own and several pals/mates, they will need get one filled in beforehand…..and you can download a copy of the document from the British Cycling website.
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School (RAA) at Gatton Park have given us permission to use the hard courts in the front of the main building….so drive in and find the parking spaces….then walk forward heading towards Reigate down in the valley…..pass to the right of the massive stone ancestral home… and suddenly the area we’ll be using appears in front of you, in front of the house. We’ll put out some sign to keep you on the right track.
There will be three move follow-up sessions:

Sunday 30 Nov
Sunday 14 Dec
Normal price: £2 for age 7-11 years £3 for age 12-16 years
……..but as a bonus….the first session on Sunday 26 October………. is free
