Crawley Wheelers' Open TT

A nice video of the CW Open TT this last Saturday morning on the G10/57 A264 course - including quite a lot from the infamous new roundabout.

Doesn't look too bad in the sunshine at 0700 on a Saturday morning.

Thoughts on their entry list/scoresheet versus our Open TT the previous Saturday:

1) 65 starters c.f 50 entrants at our event

2) No RCC entrants c.f. no CW entrants in our event

3) 6 CW entrants c.f. 5 RCC out of 50.

Hoping to ride Horsham TT courses?

...you might be disappointed. Currently the stretch of road on the bypass that passes the builders merchants is single lane in both directions for about a mile. Looks like a roundabout being created and the work does not look like it will be finished any time soon. Could impact on early season 10's and 25's...eg G25/53.

Track 'Hour' solo ride and group track session

Submitted by Nathan on Mon, 09/26/2011 - 19:05

On Sunday 30th October I'm doing an 'hour' solo ride at the velodrome in Newport. I'm aiming to ride 27 miles...further than I've ridden in an hour before but not an unrealistic target (I hope!).

In doing this I'm going to need some support (in order to dull the pain!) and hope some of you might want to come along to shout at me. With this in mind I've also arranged a two hour group track session for up to 16 riders. This will give you the chance to try the track yourself...previous experience is not necessary.

Date: Sunday 30th Oct
Time: 1800-1900 (Solo ride)
