If anyone needs some motivation for the coming road racing season, then you can now take a look at the 2011 Surrey League calendar at http://www.surreyleague.co.uk/calendar.htm
Only 8 weeks until the first races! Better get training!! :o)
I am just back from the Surrey Cycle Racing League AGM and can confirm the club did fantastically well this year with 5th place in the club rankings!
I collected a cheque for a total of £783.50 which is the prize money awarded to the riders based on how many points they collected throughout the season and in which race types.
As usual I will get this paid into RCC and then each rider will be issued with a cheque for the balance that they are owed. I can mail these out or give these to riders at social events if they prefer.
Surrey League have now updated their website with the 2010 club ranking.
We are now 5th! A big improvement on last year!!

WE ARE HOSTS for the Surrey League Cat 3 Road Race in Bletchingley on Saturday 31st July and need your help in running the race.
Of course, we'd all rather be cycling but a couple of times a year, the club needs members to give up a few hours to help Redhill put on a great show.
In the Surrey league we are 5th out of 43 clubs. Please help us match our performance on the road by hosting a well run race on our home ground.
I have found a link to photos taken at the first handicap SL road race on April 29th.
There are some good ones of Rob, Allan, Gavin and I and also a great one of Rob finishing 4th place. :o)
Racers. In case any of you didn't know there are all categories of races this Sunday at Goodwood.
Last time there were no fewer than 13 Redhill racers there and some very welcome cheers from familiar spectators.
You can get more details at www.surreyleague.co.uk where you can see the results from last time. You can also enter online or on the day.
I hope to see you there.
This year, the club is running two Surrey League road races - one Thursday evening handicap race on Newdigate circuit and a Saturday afternoon Cat 3 road race on Bletchingley circuit.
It is a requirement of our club memebership of Surrey League that we run two races per year and an excellent opportunity for promotion of the club!
A quick reminder that there are races for all at Goodwood this Sunday and cheers from the sides are most welcome. At least 5 Redhill riders will be racing and hopefully more to come.
