Sheep Ahoy

Having started Dave Gill's ride, myself, Liz and Dave decided to leave this group at Ewhurst and carry on to Cranleigh where I took the opportunity to try Cromwells lovely garden in the High Street - what a disappointment :(

Having digested the smallest and most expensive bacon bap in Surrey, we routed back the way we would normally come to Cranleigh.

In Rudgwick we came up behind a Land Rover with trailer and started to go past when we were confronted by hundres of Ewes and Lambs being escorted to a new field.

In disucssion with the farmer in the Land Rover, he told us there were 550 in total and that the new filed was about half a mile up the road.

After several breakaways running back towards us, Liz suggested we form a barricade a suggestion I declined as I did not fancy telling Calvin that she had been trampled by marauding sheep.

After the young girl had finally directed her flock in to the new filed, using only a 5 foot stick, we struck off to home in the gorgeous sun, reflecting on how much effluence a flock could produce and how our bikes might hum in the cars later.
