Earlier 15 riders had gathered at the Drome. Chris Hall turned off early while the remaining 14 took a series of small lanes, together with an assortment of hills, to the Garden Centre at Mark Cross (close to Wadhurst).
The 'usual suspects' were accompanied by some newer faces on the Sunday Steady. Back from cycling touring with Stuart, Jill M did a superb job tackling a series of hills (4500 ft of climbing). Our Chair, Adrian, made one of his rare appearnaces on the Sunday ride and Rachel and James loosened their legs before tackling the Alps in Morzine for the summer. It was great to see Stuart N, still in rehab after his broken hip but you would not have known it from the way he was cycling.
The sun shone all day. At last, summer is here!
