Having agreed to stand in and do the Sunday Social from Godstone last minute, I pulled out a variation from one of my favourite routes in the area. Suffice to say, we put in enough uphill to have earned our cake at Knights in Warlingham, and I think we managed enough downhill to keep Lee happy! The drizzle couldn't dampen our spirits (yes, pun intended) and the amount of muddy water poured all over the tea stop floor from the recesses of waterproofs was testament to the slipperiness of the trails, which made the downhills all the more fun!
