Moonlight at Box Hill

Eight people turned up for this weeks ride, a new best, also a new ride
leader - Phil C. We rode from the Sportsman to the Reigate Hill car park, then down a nice rooty track to the edge of the school then climbing up under the motorway to Chipstead high road. We had great fun jumping all the speed bumps in the bridleways down to the A217 roundabout. The next section consisted of twisty singletrack through the woods round bombholes -great fun. Across to Walton back under the motorway we made our way to Stane Street and down Juniper Hill - nice and dry - very fast. Then came the tough climb up Boxhill - the grassy way, where the group split, reformed after a phone call we realised that we must take more care to stay together and that a backmarker might be required now the group is getting bigger. Returning to The Sportsman via Walton Heath Golf course, we agreed that a change of ride leader had added some variety to the route 18 miles in all.
Hope to see you next week - see calendar for details - you need to log on.
