Another perfect Sunday...

ELEVEN riders turned out for the 'back by lunchtime' ride, which circled Edenbridge as usual (some fabulous stretches of smooth road!), stopping for tea in the sunshine at Occasionally Yours then heading off via Tilburstow Hill to Bletchingley to see the final three laps of the Surrey League Cat 3 race.

With four Redhill heroes in the fray - and a fray it was - in blazing heat, we stopped to watch them all suffer on the hardest climb. Then riding around the course, we came across Jonathan Bradbourne, who had given up his Sunday to pass water bottles to our racers and later Brian Costello, who had come out to cheer them on.

Tremendous efforts and good humour all morning, we also welcomed Danny Yates to his first Redhill ride, he had no problem keeping up. Attending were Paul Miller, Robert Neale, Tim Sales, Charl Jordaan, Martin Bell, Chris Stone, Damon Crawshaw, Kevin Greene and Marmite Pete.

I hope we will see many of you at Wednesday's TT, Thursdays bits and piece sauction and Friday's Dunsfold race.
