SIXTEEN riders turned out for the Wednesday evening Horne TT, three laps of this exciting 9 mile course, made so much better because Steve White had gone round earlier with his garden shears cutting back the bushes on the corners! I'll take a broom next week for the gravel. STEVE YOUNG clocked the fastest time, 21.29 on this, his 40th birthday! The photo looks like he expected the bumps. Close behind him were Trevor Chilman and Leigh Smithers. I just scraped into the 22 minute bracket with Steve White and Geoff Clinton, streaking ahead.
Good to see Andrew Murray back after an absence and also Richard Tallent, looking fit. The Terror on the trike was tearing up the tarmac as expected and we're always pleased to see Dennis Worster get his head down, he never misses a Redhill TT.
But come on Steve, get a RED hill shirt before people start talking about your preference for pink!! I stand corrected 'it was in the wash!'
