Turned out nice again! Four brave souls turned out on a grey Saturday morning for an intermediate ride, Brian Costello who gets fitter every week and new faces, Charlie Pearson & Kevin Greene...and me of course.
Being thoroughly lazy, I decided we'd do the Tulley's loop of 44 miles, well it's pretty, quiet and has all the right ingredients for a great ride. Charlie zoomed off up Tower Road so we've press ganged him into Wednesday's Time Trial, he's a seriously fit athlete from Cambridge University. The rest of us did what we could bringing up the rear. At one stage we had to shelter under trees as it rained hard but not for long and it turned into a pleasant ride, not too fast!
Kevin did well for a first taste of 'Saturday Club' and was still smiling at the end; let's hope he rides with us again! A shade under 16mph was a good pace.
