A big thanks to all of the riders who competed for the club in this Championship event.
Despite everyone riding themselves into the ground, both teams unfortunately lost a rider early on, leaving the remaining 3 to battle on valiantly against the other 4s.
Whilst the event only attracted 12 teams, the lack of quantity was more than made up for by the quality of the riders entered.
In the end after something over 35 miles in unexpectedly high temperatures our teams finished in 9th & 11th positions, which given the difficulties they encountered, was encouraging for the future.
Our teams were: Paul Read, Keith Reed, Trevor Chilman & Jed Rock and Duncan Murdoch, Leigh Smithers, Nathan Chamberlain & Steve White.
The event was won by the London Dynamo A Team, from Wildside RT and Norwood Paragon A.
