Well I did get a ride in the Charlotteville 25 as a reserve, however it was a top class field including 19 of the best ladies in the south of England every one of which did a far better than I did the fastest being Julie Shaw (GS Strada) with a time 55.48 second was Lesley-Anne Walkling (Science in Action.com) 57.33
In the mens event it was a very close-run thing indeed which did not quite involve me !
Alex Dowset (100%Me) who was off 20 minutes before Michael Hutchinson (not Conway) got to the second turn 20 seconds qiucker than Hutch however at the finish it was Michael Hutchinson (not Conway) who came in with a time of 48.36,beating Dowset`s time of 48.52. Both riders beat the previous course record
But the real highlight of the afternoon was the rider fron Redhill CC who came in with a time of
1.8.59, 2.45 faster than last week. I finished at the opposite at the end of the result board to
Michael Hutchinson, at least I was noticed.
