MTB Christmas Pudding Ride

Following the Christmas festivities and the endless mince pies, it was time for the annual Christmas Pudding ride. We set off from Reigate Hill along the ridge to head across Banstead golf course. The heavy rain on Christmas Day had prepared a very muddy and slippery trail, staying upright at speed on the twisty track was quite a challenge.

From Wotton on the Hill we took a slightly different route to Headley and after a quick puncture repair, we then reached Stane Street. The fast pace slowed slightly along Stane Street due to the strategically place puddles and the slippery chalk surface. Crossing the A24 we climbed up Crabtree lane to swing round to the back of Bocketts Farm.

The route back was a long trudge up the lengthy inclines to Reigate Hill. Well done for James to make it round with us, mountain biking is not as easy as the road stuff, and Garry is in his fitness mode as he was on his single speed.
