A good gathering of sixteen set off heading for Gravelly Hill from the
now
regular start point of "The Inn On The Pond" Nutfield. What a contract
in
weather from the previous couple freezing of days with everybody in
good
sprints on this festive of days.
Taking the N21 cycle route we headed though Nutfield Mash and continual
on
the N21 towards Gravelly Hill, The climb to the view point was incident
free
with a short stop I reminded everyone there would be no tea stop today
as
the plan was to end with a pint and lunch back at the pub. Down the
other
side of the hill is fast and a tad technical but fun, and one of my
favourite parts of this route. Across the A22 and onward onto the North
Downs way taking in Tandridge Hill with a fast down across the M25
heading
for the back of Godstone and over Tillbustow Hill. Up the long drag to
the
top and along the Greensand Way to complete the loop via Beltchingley.
Back
onto the N21 for the return back though Nutfield Mash.
No punctures or mechs with a total mileage of 19, (according to "Blues
Brother Phil") and a very social drink in the pub.
