For this extra-special MTB weekend away, Blazing Bikes (www.blazingbikes.co.uk) have invited us to their new mountain bike centre on the Long Mynd in Shropshire.
Accomodation will be in fully heated camping pods that can accommodate around 5 or 6 people, depending on how friendly we want to get. There is also a heated shower block with free showers so we'll be able to clean off after riding.
Blazing Bikes are keen to see we have good time, and have even offered to guide us round the trails for free so that we cover all the best bits.
We'll be riding Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday morning. To book your place, please contact me to pay the full and non-refundable balance of £30.

All of our guides are fully qualified, hold a first aid certificate and are experienced mountain bikers. If you wanted to head off on your own, then of course that is fine too, we have way marked trails on the Long Mynd and a trail map to help you navigate to the best trails.
We are based in the Shropshire Hills just outside of Church Stretton. We are surrounded by some stunning scenery and some even more stunning riding. We are literally 5 minutes ride from the bottom of the world famous Minton Batch descent and only a short ride from some of the other classic single track on the Long Mynd. If you know where to look, there are endless options and so many amazing descents you will need to spend a week here!
We have everything the discerning mountain biker could ever want. In brief: shiny stuff in the shop, workshop, free bike wash, somewhere warm to sleep and a pub. If any of the riders have a slight mechanical we can help out if required, and we have a free bike wash outside our shop too.
