What is a TrailTrax?
It's a cycle orienteering event using mountain bikes for pairs or single riders visiting offroad checkpoints over a set period of time. Entrants receive an Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 laminated colour map extract (supplied by TrackLogs mapping software) on which to mark the checkpoints and a checkcard for punching which gives the checkpoint values.

The aim is to navigate and cycle to as many checkpoints as possible, choosing your own route to collect the highest score and return within your time limit. You can of course just ride around collecting a few checkpoints and enjoy the scenery! There are prizes at the end of the event for the top riders in each category.
