A "classic Cannondale M500 from circa 1995, bought in California and genuinely labelled with "Made in the USA" from the good old days!

This bike has mostly been used on roads only, and latterly has formed part of my "N+2" bike count. I'm told that the "2" must become a "1" again. :-)

For a 21 YO bike it is in very good condition. Metallic green and black; there are a few scratches around the chain-stay, and the cables ought to be changed, but all components (including the tyres) are original. SPD pedals included. Very much in rideable condition.

 The bike is obviously in vgc with just a few small scratches here and there.

Built up from a 2013 frameset so the spec is different from the original but see this link for an idea: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/2013.giant.trance.x.29…

Drivetrain and brakes are better quality than the original and have not seen much use.

May consider selling the frame, shock and forks only if preferred.

Looking for £1200 for the complete bike but can be flexible by swapping components.

While in the Lakes with RCC MTB group I damaged my Stumpjumper FSR frame. Corriadori can repair it - at a fairly hefty cost!

Any one have something suitable that I could re build on to? Would consider HT.
