The days are getting longer and hopefully warmer so join me for the club ride starting from The Angel at 9.00. The route will be scenic with not much traffic and a tea stop at Wisborough Green.Roll on summer!
Raid Pyrenean – a brief account of Billie's trip to the pyrenees
Pass the highest point of Ashdown Forest, traverse the Wealden Ridge and skirt the South Downs. As tough as any sportive and it's cheaper, but you will need to follow the route sheet if you don't want to get lost .
This part of the E. Sussex/ Kent border is of course rather lumpy. However the World Of Water is your mid-point on this classic event. If you are feeling very strong then why not ride the 200k option. Same start time and place.
A choice of three distances starting from Ruislip. Longest is 200k starting at 8.00, take lights for this one. Then there is the 100k ride starting at 9.30 and if you are new to audax events then try the 51km ride which starts at 10.00.
A hilly ride across the North Downs to St Margarets Bay and back. Passes Wye Crown and Dover Castle with fine views of the English Channel. Sounds like an enjoyable day out in the country.
A mid-week audax which usually goes out into Buckinghamshire.
