The first Redhill CC Toys Hill hillclimb went ahead in sunny weather on Saturday 26 September 2026.

The event was suggested by our riders Matthew Ferguson and Ben Elliot who took up hill climbing during the COVID pandemic.

45 riders signed up on the CTT website in the few months prior to the event to do the longer-than-many hill climb at 1.8 miles. Starting at the bottom of Toy’s Hill Road the hill was gentle here, but it was steep by the time it crossed Puddledock Lane where many supporters and locals had gathered to cheer the riders on.

The Open category was won by Matthew, the Vets by HuntBikeWheels Richard Cartland, the Female Open by Dulwich Paragon’s Karolina Zydelyte and the Female Vet by Penge CC’s Wendy Mathie.

Well done to all riders.

Thank you to all the people who made this event possible, from the riders (of course), the timekeepers, volunteers, photographer, HQ staff, cake makers and supporters.

Look out for this event at the end of September in 2027.
