Vibrant late Spring XC ride from Denbies

relaxing on the artwork

We headed off from Denbies by a variety of trails circumnavigating Dorking for a very enjoyable ride - ably lead by Sue.

We started by snaking along under the hill to Abinger Roughs via Shere and Albury. Here we all enjoyed travelling through woods that were vibrant with the colours of new leaves, bluebells and wild flowers.  The trails were reasonable with a splattering of mud to remind us that there's been a bit of rain recently though!

Then it was the steep climb to Newlands to an enjoyable hot drink and bacon roll.

Home was along North Downs Way, where we had to notice how amazingly the woods have regenerated after the recent forestry work.

A total of 34km, some mud, nice trails , a sprinkling of rain  and good company. Overall, we all got back happy after a really enjoyable xc ride. Everyone had a great time!
