A fantastic 12 cyclists turned up for the G3 ride, the first two groups of 6 this year! Perhaps, everyone took a chance on the good weather forecast and it did not disappoint. The ride was meant to be to the Balcombe Tea Rooms, but they’d decided to close for 10 days. It’s good to check beforehand ;-). Instead we stopped a little earlier in the ride at High Beeches tea rooms and sat in their sunny garden.
The outward journey was a country lane route via Faygate, and Slaugham. Returning, our group cycled towards Turners Hill, turning down Turners Hill Road to avoid the traffic jam at the crossroads, making up the miles missed through Lingfield by cycling around Outwood.
Stats: 78km miles with 807m of climbing over 3h 55m moving time.
