Garry's Limpsfield Ride

Garry was up to his usual tricks in finding some muddy but great tracks. This time it was around Limpsfield and Weserham. An impromptu tea stop beckoned when we found a table and chairs in the woods. There was also a longer than expected stop at a view point whilst fixing Dave’s puncture, the picture says it all!

A Cycle Ride Through Rural China

In September 2007, Mike Ormerod, Graham Haysom, and Jim Wingrove of Redhill Cycling Club undertook a trip by bicycle through the Guandong and Guanxi provinces of China.

Mike, Graham and Jim will be giving a slideshow and presentation about their trip at Redhill & Reigate YMCA on Friday 8th February at 8PM.

In the meantime, Mike's travelogue can be found by clicking here.

Epsom to Cobham for a great tea stop

Fourteen riders and a large dose of camaraderie made the most of the weak but welcome winter sunshine. The Epsom ride is a great all-weather affair and the riders enjoyed a relatively dry ride, in stark contrast to the last few weeks. The pre-arranged tea stop moved up a gear, this time replacing Alan and Helen's Salsa lesson (see ride report 8/12/07) with the Old Bear Inn's warm fudge brownies. A flat, fast, fun route - roll on summer!

John

Down on the farm with Redhill CC.

Last Sundays’ ride to Washbrook Farm at Hurstpierpoint saw 17 riders start off from the Angel led by Mike Ormerod. The weather was unseasonably warm for the time of year and as a dry day was in prospect several members took the opportunity to stretch their legs.
It didn’t take long for riders such as John Dredge recuperating from a knee operation to start pushing the pace with Bruce and Jo on the tandem hammering along and young Josh as usual showing that he may be new to club rides but he likes to be out in front.

Club Ride to Wisborough Green

We had seven riders turn out including Darrell with Heather in trailer (Alison was running that day). Helen Dredge made her first appearance in seven months leaving John to babysit.

After stopping for the usual group photograph Graham went on to Wisborough Green with Jacquie and Jim ,Darryl made his own way there and the rest of us turned for home.

I don't know about the others but I got home with around 55 miles on the clock.

Frank

Hills and Puddles

Gareth led his classic ride from Reigate Hill to Box Hill. The mud slowed us down a bit and Richard punctured after we reached the end of the ridge. The deep puddles were in abundance but the sun was shining so we all had a good time. Sandra was back out with us for the first time in a year, leaving the grandparents to baby sit, and Bruce had bought a new bike, a fixed gear 29er.
