Join us for a ride of between 30 and 40 miles at a steady pace. Suitable for any rider who wishes to sample a club ride before joining or existing members who require a shorter less demanding ride. Start from the Angel at 9.00 and expect to be back by 13.00 after a sociable ride with a tea stop. For further information contact Graham on 01737 248950.

Beginners / Intermediate ROAD rides

Starting at The Angel 9am. The purpose of these rides is to welcome new people and we ride at their speed in quiet lanes on a well known route.

Depending on numbers we might split the ride this week so the faster people can belt off but on a slightly longer route meaning we all meet at Tulley's at the same time.

In accordance with the 'Ride Safety' published on this site, The Highway Code, the CTT etc, bright clothing and helmets are recommended, I also advise gloves/mitts.

Cycling doesn't get better than this...

A great turnout, beautiful weather, an interesting and varied route to a pictureseque tea stop, then a fast blast back. 62 exciting miles at 16.9mph average. Perfect.

Showing no signs of yesterday's ride (what DOES he eat!?) Graham was frequently at the front chasing superfit James Trigg, who led endless charges and gave this 'club ride' a terrific average speed. Bruce and Jo were with us for the first leg and Mike Conway. Eric looked fit on his new Brian Rourke stainless steel machine; style matters in this club!
