In the week before i was due to lead a Peaselake ride i decided to go out on a recce ride to check i new where i was going.
With a few wrong turns i found a route and put it in the memory bank ready for the weekend ahead.
Arriving early at the carpark Gwyn and Aled were ready and waiting followed closely by Mike C who had ridden in. Slowly but surely more riders arrived.
Heading of in an upward direction enjoying the summer sun there was talk of an Indian summer, we'll see.
Phil has stepped up to the mark last minute with this one. He will be leading out of the Landslip car park at coldharbour. Expect some good technical singletrack.
Please not the starting point is WOODHATCH PARK. A steady ride with a loop to either Billingshurst or Rudgwick, direct route home.
NOTE the meeting place - Woodhatch Park. Destination: Treacles at Chiddingfold.
Lee T will be leading out from Newlands on one of his well planned rides over to Peaselake for tea.
Expect a few good climbs and and some great trails along the way.
Ten of us met up at walking Bottom for a ride more about trails than speed or distance, we welcomed two newcomers Richard (from the dark side) and Jolie (Geoff's daughter). We ride down into Peaslake and up over to our first trail - Van Goughs missing ear then up to ride Bambies legs before riding up to Holmbury hill for the customary photo opportunity. Yoghurt pots was enjoyed so much that we did it twice, then going back to repeat Bambies legs, returning to Peaslake via Barry knows Best for tea an cheese straws - massive grins all round.
