RCC Summer Time Trials 2020 - better late than never

With the relaxation of the necessary rules to protect everyone in the face of a pandemic, it was great to see Redhill CC's Summer TT series restarting again in July.

Huge thanks go to Stefan and Rick in particular for their efforts in signing and timing.

Thanks too to all the riders who have been careful with distancing and respectful of the need to run a safe event.

The series has already produced some great rides and stories. Former GC rider, Andy Critchlow, now with Norwood Paragon broke Keith Lea's course record by nearly 30 seconds and put the prospect of a sub 18 minute tri-circulation of the Horne Course into the realms of possibility.

On the Redhill front we have seen consistent strong rides from Matthew Ferguson and Ben Elliot, a PB from James Trigg, the welcome return of Steve Bryant after a few years away and a range of first time riders too.

Perhaps most encouraging has been the young talent on the course with some fantastic riding from the likes of Jamie Pullen, George Sales, Josh, Polly and James B.

Just a few weeks to go until the end of the season but definitely a case of better late than never!
