Westcott with Dave Mc

We set off from the Westcott Church start, up the famous Rookery, manhandling sticky dropper
posts (or frozen) towards Leith.  Clumpy snow destroyed any benefit from
light weight bikes. 'Fat Jim' was the first bomb hole on Leith before
twisting through the mainly collapsed-under-snow rhododendrons that make up
'F'sake, Garage and Mither'.

'Windy Willows' dropped into a mud pool, but
the new 'Trial of the Witches' down traverse was in great condition.
Returned to Leith for 'Half Pint, Jab in Eye and Choc Jesus'. Forestry
logging changed the plan so further wiggle down to the Friday St pub for
warmth. 'Soul Mining' down to H St Mary. Now so cold we decided to warm up
again, back up to Yoghurt Pots + 'Hidden Sting'. Peaslake and home. 6 cold
hours... and still smiling!
