Muddy Muddy Peaselake

Well what more can I say? Mud, Mud, Mu........but the right sort of mud as it turned out.

Walking Bottom car park was inch deep in mud when I arrived so I had a feeling it was going to be wet - how right was I!12 of us left to climb up Pitch Hill: we dropped in to the first trail and there were puddles everywhere. We pressed on and decided to climb up and over to Winterfold.

Arriving at Winterfold, we dropped in to a new trail that Phil showed us. It left us all smiling again at how good it was, and how much fun it was riding with no grip at all.

We made our way over to B#####ds and Mind the Pole, which were a real test of determination and skill in keeping up and pointing in the right direction.

At this point some mutterings about tea were heard so we set off towards the shop with much anticaption of hot food and coffee. After tea we lost three of our riders to other commitments, but gained a James Checkley.

We then headed up on to Holmbury Hill for a few extra trails, ending at everyone's favourite  BKB for the run in to Peaselake.

All of us were in agreement that it was a proper winter mudfest, a long time coming but great fun just the same.
