A cold but still morning saw a good gathering at the ‘Drome, from where 11 of us set off looking to clock up some winter miles.
Note to self; check that the route on Garmin express is also on your Garmin device!! Fortunately, John B stepped up as chief navigator and away we rode, picking up Rob from G5 as we headed out to Horne and on to Edenbridge.
A quick stop at Edenbridge to discover our chief navigator had navigated himself away from the group, but since he was on familiar roads we pressed on and finally met up at the tea stop. No seats were free inside but we were all happy to stay outside as the sun had finally broken through the clouds.
From the stop, Billy W set off on his own hill climbing expedition while the remaining 11 headed out to Marsh Green. This time under Dave G navigation, as John B had been relieved of his duties. We then headed onto Brindley Heath, Smallfield and back to the ‘Drome picking up a bit of a pace thanks to Clive.
