Leading from the rear, again

Billy W. was the only rider from last week. I expect that the others had enough of my leadership for a while (Wally H excused himself; he was running in the  Mongolian desert). We still mustered a group of 5. The rain had stopped just as I was leaving home; it not reappear until we returned. The sun even came out, lighting up the countryside which is starting to acquire its autumnal colours.

As usual I was leading from the back (well back on the hills) but everybody waited patiently for me to catch up and come by at the junctions.

On our return, at Horne, we were slow to notice that Irene and Huugh were off the back. We waited briefly, assummed there had been a flat and, as we were close to home and it should not take more than 2 cyclists to fix a flat, and continued up the last climb of the dat to Outwood windmill.

60 miles, 3900 ft of climbing, good tea stop with a great view, excellent company.
