Much dithering at the Drome

In the absence of our esteemed Chair, enjoying the delights of Mallorca, there was no-one to organise the G2-G4 grops. Eventually I found myself with 5 other riders who didn't fancy either the speed or destination (or both) of the other rides so we opted for Camellia Botnar. A few hundred yards down the road we were joined by Walter and Graham who had missed the departure of John Mc's crew. They decided to ride with us to the tea stop and then continue to the Granary at Wiston to meet up with them.

We took my usual route via Lambs Green, Wimland, Horsham, Copsale and Maplehurst. When we arrived at Camellia Botnar, Walter and Graham stayed with us, deciding that a social at ride at a steady 15 mph was prefeable to trying to hang onto to John Mc's c drive train in the hottest day of the year.

Suitably refreshed, we headed back via Lower Beeding, Plummers Plain, Faygate, etc. to complete a round trip of about 50 miles.

Good cycling, good refreshments, excellent company; what better way to send a Saturday morning.
