This evening as per previous years marked the switch to the 10 mile course, however this year there was a stark difference.. rather than using the Horsham dual carriageway we were using a 10 mile variant of the Horne course, taking in 2 longer laps over a beautifully smooth road surface.
Matt Peel took the RCC scratch win recording a 23:38. Behind him was Neil Candler and Roly Kitson.
Simon Coppen took the handicap win in only his 2nd club time trial, ahead of William Weir and Roly Kitson.
Dom Clegg of Paceline RT took the overall with with a 23:28.
The longer laps give the course a more varied feel. Unfortunately, another of the three Simons riding - Simon Baldwin - took an unplanned excursion to Lingfield, however he showed the right spirit to still get in 10 miles at race pace.
